Golf del Sur Golf Course Golf del Sur - Tenerife's international standard golf course
The Golf del Sur golf course was designed by Pepe Gancedo and the layout forms three loops, runs close to the sea and mixes a tropical paradise with the natural aridity of Tenerife's south coast. Golf del Sur hosted Tenerife's last international open and in 1995, hosted the Shell Wonderful World of Golf . Golf del Sur has also been the setting for two golf driving distance records, both of which were set by Britain's Karl Woodward. A 27 hole course with wide, green fairways and large greens. This challenging and well manicured course with it's South, North and Links layout has all three returning to the Clubhouse, but the most characteristic feature of Golf del Sur are the large bunkers filled with black volcanic sand. Scratch and handicap golfers alike are offered a unique opportunity to test their skills. Beginners can gain much from the practice greens of this links course, which coupled with the teaching skills of the international standard coaches will leave you with good memories of your time spent on Golf del Sur. The club also has a golf school, excellent practice facilities, tennis, bowls, a bar and restaurant, pro shop and tennis courts.
